Show this SATURDAY

People are out there wearing my hair clips and headbands..and looking beautiful. You and your little ones should be looking beautiful too ;)

This Saturday is the art show in the Heights and I am getting excited, and nervous. Mostly nervous for the rain that is expected. 60% as of now. But will be praying that that percentage goes down in the next 3 days!

I've been busy busy busy just trying to keep up with everyday life and balance the making of inventory for these shows. Did I mention 3 shows in 3 weeks? This weekend, May 14th, and May 21. I'm a busy girl.

Also this weekend is Mother's Day! Why not buy a brooch for Mom, a pretty necklace or even a pretty flower for her hair? And while you are buying that don't forget the card. I will try to be well stocked with Mother's Day Cards. So come by and see us (Ellie Bear Boutique will also be sharing the booth and she makes the cutest little girly bows). Lots of pretty things for sale!

My Mama is Awesome

She got me this vintage coolness! :)

Esther is modeling the headband I made for my friend's girls to match her 3 daughters Easter dresses ( I made a total of 4). It turned out really well, and I purchased some more headbands to make a few for the show. I've also just completed the headbands for my girls that match their Easter dresses. So I'll have some more pictures to post this week.

Felt!

I've been playing with some felt. Maddie wore one today to school and got compliments on it so I'm going to be making some more for the show in May.

For my girls...

I recenlty participated in my first scrapbook swap and received a ton of awesome goodies from my fellow scrapbooker, but also included in the package was some ribbon for making my bows. I've been working on a few for a my girls, and am going with the more traditional bow designs. This one is my favorite so far. Thanks Kate for sending them to me!!

Success!!

Well, my craft show/fundraiser was a success. For a small show anyway, and I was glad to be able to also help raise money for a good cause. And I'm very excited that I already have another show booked for May 7th! I'll be sharing the space with another bow designer so we will have a good selection between the two of us. So as you can see I've been busy coming up with some new designs. How do you like them?

Super Cute and Unrelated

This is unrelated, but had to share! I paid $2 for this super cute, never worn dress at a little second hand store. Perfect for my little Esther for Easter! (and it does have a vintage quality about it, doesn't it?)

For the Growing Collection..

I had some extra supplies laying around and made this bow board for my niece Hallie. Her mommy ordered some bows and I thought she needed a special place to start putting her growing collection. Bows are addictiting!

Introducing Brooches

I had some requests to make some pins!

(I found a quite a bit of stuff on clearance including a Jupiter Jack for $2.97..lol. Yeah, at Joanns.) Looking forward to tonight. I think I'm going to put all the hair makin stuff away and do a little scrapbookin.

My Country Tis of Thee...

Is it ever too early to celebrate our independence? No need for the 4th of July. My bestie inspired me to pick up some red, white, and blue ribbon when she gave me some patriotic songbooks from the 30's and an enamal pin (which I love!).

Somethin for the Kiddies

These are for the little ones... or for those who are just young at heart. I tried to find ribbon that reminded me of vintage fabric.

More Feathers

Lovin the wispy black feathers! They lay nice in the hair. And the black flower with silver center is one of my favorites. I'll be making myself one!

Before & After

I'm not a big recycler, but this was a good use of something that would just have been thrown away. And I needed some more storage!

This Makes Me Happy

Lots of new ribbons mixed with my old stored in my pretty little basket. This really does make me happy. It's like a new box of crayons. And I love crayons. I buy a box of 2 (or 4) every school season when the stores have them for .25. I just can't help it. And my ribbon is starting to be the same. How can you pass up a half off sale?! Wait until you see my new buttons!! lol.

Tea Roses

This design is a keeper I think. Looks like she's ready for a tea party. Little sissy was wearing it, but refused to pose so it was up to big sissy to do it. I think this one will also be in our own collection. I will be making several for purchase.

I love these colors and scored a great deal on some pretty lace. What do you think?
